A self-sustaining aerodynamic condition cannot occur after the compressed air is cut off from the air bearing of the spinning ring, because the pressure between the ring and a thrust face is high enough to prevent it. Ring over-run cannot unwind yarn from package, because the ring is braked rapidly when machine stops.
