<p>In a building, complete heating protection is provided by an external wall cladding with two vertical layers of air serving as a heat insulator - as effected normally in double glazing, but here extended to whole walls. Suitable material is corrugated board, weatherproofed and impregnated to repel insects, cemented in two layers in a cruciform pattern. The base panel has larger perforations, while the cover panel has fine perforations, and has a punctiform-fixed wire or plastics mesh to carry rendering, if required. Alternatively weatherproof plastics foil can be cemented on. Perforation and corrugation provide ventilation.</p> |
