PURPOSE:To make it possible to speedily and reliably eliminate wrong striking of a clock by swinging a comb teeth through the striking correcting lever linked with the time correction device in order to control the count cam for striking. CONSTITUTION:Pulling out a crown 100 in order to set a clock allows a time correction pinion 116 and a gear 114 to be meshed with each other. Then turning the crown 100 causes a corrector 102 to pivot and consequently a striking correcting lever 70 to pivot simultaneously. This causes a comb teeth 34 to pivot through a release 74 unitary with the lever 70, and a contact surface 34b of the comb 34 causes a count cam 40 to pivot. Consequently, the striking is corrected, and wrong striking is speedily and reliably removed. Therefore, the striking is prevented from becoming out of phase with the time shown by the hands even during the time the clock is being set or corrected. |
