The system is used for mounting and fixing plasterboard, fibreboard, plywood or other panels on ceilings or as wall cladding. An upright panel (2) is picked uo, and lifted and swung into position for installation. In the course of the operation, the panel is rotated to the correct olane for mounting, by an adapting element (7), such as a spindle or cylinder. It is pref. connected to a sheet steel plate, permitting it to be fixed magnetically. The system reduces the amount of manual labour required and increases the rate at which the installation is completed.
