Solar heat storing external wall - has radiation permeable layer spaced in front of black surface, with closed sides

The external wall face (1) of a building is made or painted black, or black material (4) or black painted material is fitted on it, with heat-conductive effect. A layer (2) permeated by sun and heat rays is fitted, at an interval of a few cm. The sides (3a,3b) between this layer and the wall are airtight. Horizontal sides may incorporate closable ventilation slits. A venetian or roller blind, pref. outwardly reflective, may be mounted between wall and layer. The layer is pref. made of translucent foil or plastics, or glass, pref. double glazing, while the material on the wall is metal. This provides economical solar energy conservation, with heat stored in the wall itself, and continuously given out to the interior.
