Yarn-drying plant with optimal energy utilisation - from use of heat exchanger and partial recirculation of exhaust gas

Yarn-drying plant comprises a drying chamber supplied with heated air by a bellows which drives air through a heater to the drying chamber. Preceding the heater is a heat exchanger which pre-heats the ingoing air from the outgoing air from the drying chamber, and, depending upon the moisture content of the exhaust air, mixes a proportion of it with the ingoing air for recirculation. This arrangement gives optimal energy use within the drying plant itself and reduces the power consumption of the heaters.
