The system enables solar heat collectors, mounted on a building, to be concealed from normal view. This is esp. necessary when the heat collectors are subsequently installed in existing houses where they would otherwise not be approved by planning authorities. The covering is made up from several lamellae. On the upper side these have a high reflective capacity, for incoming sunlight, while the underside is of the same colour as the substructure supporting the collector. The slope is pref. such as to provide an optimal ratio between the amount of trapped solar energy and the roof covering angle. The slope may be adjustable. The underside can have a brick or similar patterning.
