Filter cloths in centrifuge bowl - tensioned by rings contoured to fit inner profile of bowl

Filter cloths inside centrifuge bowls are tensioned by means of a ring contoured to fit the inner profile of the bowl. Ring itself is tensioned by means of coupling which is located outside of the ring profile. Coupling has a pair of struts attached to the ring which are fixed to threaded sheaths. Double ended bolt is fitted into these having opposite handed screw threads. Rotating this in one direction pushes the mountings apart and tensions the ring. Because the coupling is away from the cloth surface, there is no point at which the cloth is not adequately tensioned.
