The semi-rigid container is hot-shaped from plastic sheet, having a flat flange section and a number of adjacent recesses inside the flange edge. The sidewall of each recess is joined to that of an adjacent one by a rib, and the recesses are sealed by a covering sheet. The rib is formed by a contact area (16) at right angles to the flange section (12), and is close to the base walls (14,15) of the adjacent recesses. The latter can be cylindrical, and there can be a pair of them. The covering sheet can be of heat-shaped plastic, with a flag flange portion (22) and plug-shaped bosses (20,21) fitting in the open ends of the recesses. (DS).
