A bucket wheel type dosing appts. copes with powders to granular fluent substances. The parts that come into contact with the product are readily removable with a few manipulations without tools so that they can be cleared to leave no trace of the previous products distributed. Part of the components coming into contact with the product can be made from material repelling it. The bucket wheel can have a rapid shut-off, e.g. rotary stop. The side walls of the wheel can be removable. The bucket compartment walls (13) can be removable. The wheel hub (7) can have slits to receive the removable walls. The latter can have recesses on each side as well as extension pieces at their end sections. They can be made of a pliable yet wear-resistant material. The side walls (8,8a) can be rilled (11).
