<p>PURPOSE:To form a protective material for an optoelectric transducer in a short manufacturing time by a method wherein a thin sheet made of glass of a specific thickness is formed on an optoelectric transducer array via a resin layer so that a face coming into contact with an object to be detected can be made very hard. CONSTITUTION:A thin sheet 17 made of glass with a thickness of 20-100mum is formed on a device array via a resin layer 16. Because it is sufficient to paste the thin sheet 17 via the resin layer 16, a manufacturing process is extremely easy. Borosilicate glass, barium borosilicate glass, aluminosilicate glass or the like can be used as the thin sheet 17; accordingly, a Knoop lardness value of 500 kg f/cm<2> or more can be achieved; the sheet is hardly worn away thanks to this high hardness characteristic. As another feature, the thickness of the thin sheet can be set within a range of 20-100mum, preferably 30-70mum.</p> |
