<p>The sound absorbing element for an acoustic chamber is made from a porous material and is wedge shaped. It has a rectangular end and a long pointed tip. A V shaped slot (4) extends inwards from the rectangular end face (3) for a little more than the length of the rectangular part. The whole is mounted a short distance (5) from a vertical wall (6). The whole is symmetrical, the slot being along the axis of symmetry.. The element is for a chamber in which all sound wave reflection is eliminated. The shape of the element increases the sound absorption to a higher degree.</p> |
