<p>The divisible sliding-clasp fastener comprises two strips, on each of which a row of plastic members is injection-moulded, in addition to which there is an insert on one side at the bottom and a housing at the other. The insert (4) and the housing (5) are so shaped that during production the insert can be slid sideways into the housing. The insert can have two ramp faces at the sides to allow this, acting against mating faces on the housing. The memebers (3) can be initially continuously injection-moulded on the strips, after which reinforcing members (2) are glued onto the latter. The sliding clasp is then fitted, the housing, insert and top stops are formed, and the strips are finally parted off into lengths.</p> |
