The ball game comprises an upright tubular ball magazine (10) in which the balls are held until dropping down on release of a free-fall lock (11) to the catapult mechanism (3) which has a spring-biased (8) foot-pedal (7) which when depressed shoots the ball an unspecified distance. The upper end of the tube can have a collecting funnel (18) for the balls so that on using two appliances the balls can be fired from one so that they can be caught by the other. The tubular magazine pref. has a longitudinal slot (16) to show the number of balls.
