Halogen lamp bulb for vehicle headlamp - is supported by cage anchored behind reflector and attached to conductor wires for filaments

The vehicle headlamp has a double filament halogen lamp bulb (4) supported along the focal axis (A). The supporting cage (11) is connected between an outer end cap (6) on the bulb and an anchorage behind the reflector. This anchorage is immediately below the centre of the reflector, and the wires of the cage pass through the reflector. This cage consists of three wires (12,13,14) forming supporting feet, parallel to the focal axis, to which are attached at right angles, three wires bent into loops (16,17,18). These form a connection with the three conductor wires (10) from the two filaments.
