Synergistic ectoparasiticide combinations - of carbamate and pyrethroid ester(s)

Ectoparasiticidal compsns. contain a combination of a carbamate ester (I) and a pyrethroid ester of formula (II). In (II), R, R1 and R2 are H or halogen; R3 is phenyl opt. substd. by halogen or by opt. halo-substd. alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio or alkylenedioxy; Y is H or CN; n is 1-5; m is 1-4. Combinations of (I) and (II) have synergistically increased activity against ectoparasitic insects and ticks (e.g. Boophilus microplus).
