<p>The fastener structure connects two peripherally interengaging, molded plastic members, the fastener structure consisting of two identical, complementary, contionuous, endless peripheral series of fastener elements (10, 11). This structure as shown secures a lid (2) to a can (1), the series of elements (10) on the lid (2) interengaging with the series (11) on the wall of the can (1), the spaces between elements in each series being substantially similar to the elements, with each element narrower at its base than at the top so that the space between the bases of adjoining elements is wider to receive a complementary element. The two series are interengaged by pressing the two series together as the lid (2) is inserted in the end of the can (1), the flexibility and resilience of the material allowing the two endless series to interengage. One of the wall structures is inclined so that the members are in wedging contact to form sealing surfaces.</p> |
