PNEUMATIC TIRE FOR HEAVY LOAD

PURPOSE:To improve the anticrack property of the shoulder portion by forming widthwise notches on a tire in respective blocks located in the widthwise outermost layer of a tread and a projection corresponding to the bottom of notch on the side wall surface of shoulder of each block. CONSTITUTION:The tread 1 surface of a tire is formed with a plurality of blocks 2 formed with at least one notch 5 widthwise crossing the block 2. In such a tire, block rows disposed in the peripheral direction of tire on the widthwise outermost side of tread 1 surface are constituted from blocks 2 in which ends 6 of a plurality of notches 5 open to the shoulder side 3 wall surface. Projections 7 are formed integrally with said wall surface along said wall surface in positions corresponding to the bottom of notch ends 6. Thus, cracks generated from the notch ends 6 are prevented while the braking performance is improved.
