An overhead fuel tank 3 gravity feeds marine diesel fuel oil to an engine 1, and a pump 15 feeds heavier fuel oil from a supply 10 to the engine. An inlet to a mixer 27 is connected, via a pipe 41, to the outlet of the tank 1 and via pipe 16 to the pump 15. An outlet from the mixer leads to the inlet to the engine. A flow control valve 17 which regulates the flow of the heavy fuel oil to the mixer is controlled by a device 21 which receives flow rate signals from sensors 19, 20 and a mixing-ratio setter 22. <IMAGE> |
