PURPOSE:To increase the mechanical strength and gas sensitivity by forming and sintering the mixture of rutile type titania powder and platinum black. CONSTITUTION:After molding the mixture of rutile type titania powder of >= 0.5m<2>/g specific surface area and platinum black of >=1m<2>/g specific surface area into a given shape, it is sintered under oxidation atmosphere at 600-1,100 deg.C, and after that, it is sintered under inactive gas atmosphere at 1,050-1,250 deg.C to form the titania magnetic field 1 and the electrode wire 2 is assembled to it. Thus, even at low temperature of gas sensing nature, excellent characteristics can be achieved with specification of the specific surface area of rutile type titania powder and platinum black, and complete combustion of organic resin molding aid agent by sintering under oxygen atomsphere at 600-1,100 deg.C, and the surity of sintering of titania powder can be achieved with the sintering under inactive gas atmosphere at 1,050-1,250 deg.C. |
