PURPOSE:To bring an engine output to the maximum play and to restrict fuel consumption rate to the minimum by correcting a target ignition timing to the most appropriate ignition timing without errors. CONSTITUTION:A computer 4 which employs a microprocessor detects an engine condition through outputs from a rotating angle sensor 6 and a suction tube pressure sensor 5, and sends out a signal to start power supply at the actual ignition timing to an ignition device 2 on the basis of a result obtained by calculating the most appropriate ignition timing at the moment of detecting the engine condition. The ignition device 2 starts supplying current to the primary coil of an ignition coil by the current-supply starting signal, and interrupts current to the primary coil by the ignition timing signal and distributes high-tension generated at the secondary coil to the ignition plug. |
