INITIALIZING SYSTEM FOR MEMORY

PURPOSE:To avoid the rewriting of the contents for the nonvolatile memory of the memory device consisting of the volatile memory and the nonvolatile memory, by securing an automatic initialization only for the volatile memory in the application of the power source. CONSTITUTION:The main memory 4 contains both the nonvilatile memory 4NV and the volatile memory 4V. When the power source is switched on, the signal is generated from the signal generator provided to the CPU2. Receiving this signal, the address part of the CPU2 gives an acess to the start address of the initializing program stored in the memory 4NV to carry out the reading. The contents of the memory 4V filed into the external memory device is read out of the memory 4V by the program and then written into the memory 4V again. In such way, the rewriting of the contents can be avoided for the nonvolatile memory.
