PURPOSE:To increase the energy efficiency for drive by avoiding the necessity of storage capacitor of drive energy, by charging the static capacitance specific to oscillator with DC voltage, and driving the oscillator through momentary discharge with thyristor. CONSTITUTION:The static capacitance of oscillator TD is charged with DC voltage HV in advance and after charging, the thyristor S in parallel with oscillator TD is triggered to ON, and the charge of oscillator is rapidly discharged to produce the ultrasonic wave oscillation. After this discharge, the reflection wave signal returned during restart of charging by turning-off of the thyristor is detected at the oscillator and received at the circuit RCV via the AC coupling capacitor. Thus, as the exciting energy of oscillator, DC voltage charged in the oscillator is used, allowing to make unnecessary the energy storage capacitor. Accordingly, the exciting voltage is not divided, allowing to make excellent the energy efficiency of excitation. |
