PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recorder which has low weight and a recording head of small size and in which a sufficient quantity of ink is supplied despite a simple construction, by connecting the recording head, which is moved along recording paper, to a fixed tank of large ink storage capacity through a flexible pipe. CONSTITUTION:A fixed tank 31 of large capacity is installed with a bracket 30 on a frame 29 in a main body casing 1. A pressure supply mechanism 38 is provided above the tank 31. A recording head 10 for recording by ejecting ink drops is supported on guide shafts 3, 4 so that the head can be reciprocated right and left. The tank 31 and the head 10 are connected to each other through a flexible head 49. According to this constitution, the state of supply of ink does not change and the pipe 49 is housed in a dead space of an ink jet recorder. As a result, the ink is supplied by a simple construction. |
