PURPOSE:To obtain high resolution and to enable a sharp image to be formed, by enabling introduction of amplification function in a developing step. CONSTITUTION:Photosensitive toner 2 is carried on an air stream ejected from air jet nozzle 9 through ion cloud 8 produced with corona charger 7 and attached to conductive plate 10. When toner 2 is charged negatively, positive bias voltage is applied with electric waves 14 to plate 10, and plate 10 is imagewise exposed in this state. At that time, the charge quantity in the dark 6 does not change, but that in the light 3 disappears, and area 3 is charged to the same potential as plate 10 in a reverse polarity. Approaching developing electrode 11, having negative bias voltage similar in polarity to toner 2, opposite to the layer of toner 2 forms a positive toner image on plate 10 and a ngative image on electrode 11. |
