<p>PURPOSE:To increase greatly the using efficiency of the auxiliary memory device and at the same time reduce the load of the software, by providing the page memory, the latch and the selection gate each to secure a free use of the page and the address through switching. CONSTITUTION:The following units are added: the page memory M; the latch L2 which holds the page data under execution; and the selection gate G which leads selectively the page data and the output of the latch L2 to the memory M. The page data delivered from the memory M which is allotted to the address common to the system memory (the area where no page switching is given) of the fundamental memory is held at the latch L1 and then supplied to the decoder D and the latch L2. Thus the decoder D selects the page P0 belonging to the fundamental memory or either one of the extended memories P1, P2... based on the page data. At the same time, the output of the latch L2 and the page data given from the CPU are supplied to the inputs (a) and (b) of the gate G each. And the latch L1, decoder D and gate G form the page switching circuit 2.</p> |
