PURPOSE:To prevent corrosion of joints other than straight pipe joints simply and accurately by coating the exposed part including the joint with a material different from that of the coated layer of the pipes while the boundary of both coated layers is sealed with an adhesive material. CONSTITUTION:After the end section and the intermediate portion of covered steel pipes composing the joint are exposed and welded. After cleaned by removing rust or the like, the exposed part of the pipes is coated with an anticorrosion material such as polyurethane to form a coated layer 3 combined with a material different from that of the coated layer 2. Then, the both sides of the boundary part 4 of two layers 2 and 3 are coated with an anticorrosive adhesive material such as petrolatum and the adhesive material is fixed by wrapping with a protective sheet or a tape 6.
