PURPOSE:To inexpensively obtain a solar battery having high performance and excellent lifetime by forming a P type CdTe film on an N type CdS sintered film by an evaporation process and then forming ohmic electrodes on the respective films. CONSTITUTION:Excessive Cd N type CdS sintered film 2 is formed on a glass substrate 1. A CdTe film 3 is evaporated in vacuum on the film 2. In this case Te excessive P type CdTe evaporated film 3 is formed by the difference of the vapor pressure between the Cd and the Te. Then, a carbon film 4 is formed on the CdTe evaporated film 3, ohmic electrodes 5, 6 are attached to the CdS film 2 and the carbon film 4 respectively, and lead wires 7 are introduced from the respective electrodes 5, 6. Further, an incident light 8 is irradiated from the film 2. |
