PURPOSE:To enable to blow-in under a stable condition by contracting and accelerating a powder and grain additive with gas as well as by dispersing and homogenizing by vibration, when the additive is blown-in in a molten metal. CONSTITUTION:A powder and grain additive 2 of desulfurizer etc. in molten pig iron or molten steel 10 in a ladle etc. is blown-in with gas. The additive 2 in a closed vessel 1 is dropped with a constant amount cut out device 3 by a constant amount in a funnel type accelerating tube 4. After the additive is uniformly dispersed with the accelerating tube vibrated by a vibrator 5, gas is supplied from an inlet 6 inside the accelerating tube 4, and another gas is supplied from an inlet 7 outside the accelerating tube 4, the additive in the accelerating tube 4 being fed in a contracting tube 8 in such a way that the additive is put between inside and outside. The mixed flow of the gas and additive 2 is contracted with the contracting tube, and becomes a high speed flow to be blown in molten metal 10 from a jet pipe 9. At this time, constant flow valves 11 and 12 are provided at the supply lines of both gases, so that the variation of the gas flow is prevented and the additive is blown-in always under a stable condition. |
