PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of brush marks from being generated at a starting time of operation in a brush processing line by a method wherein a number of revolution of brush is kept lower than a rated number of revolution for a specified period of time in a range of acceleration of the brush processing line and a time to reach the rated number of revolution is made to be delayed. CONSTITUTION:A pair of upper and lower brushes 1 are arranged in such a direction as they are crossed with a running direction of the strip 2 and so as to hold the strip 2 at its front and rear surfaces. The brushes 1 have some grains to grind off some scales or wrags adhered to the surface of the strip 2 as the brushes 1 are rotated. In this case, when a line processing speed is decreased as compared to the rotational speed of the brushes, a brushing over condition is made to produce some brush marks. Therefore, the most appropriate brushing range is made in advance in reference to a relation between the number of rotation of the brush and the line processing speed and when the line is set at an acceleration period, a time required for reaching a rated number of rotation of the brush is made to be delayed to perform a proper brushing operation. |
