Simple but precise electric drive for valve - uses electromotor driving valve spindle via connecting spindle and gear fixed to valve casing

The electric drive has an electromotor connected via a gear to the valve's spindle. The gear is supported by the valve's casing. The support (13) for the gear is designed so that the gear (6) is held at a distance from the valve's spindle (2). A coupling spindle (8) with manual drive (9) is coupled between the gear's spindle (7) and the valve's spindle. The support is U-shaped with one limb at the bottom, the other at the top and its spine vertical. The lower limb (14) is fixed to the valve's casing (3) and the upper limb (15) supports the gear. The manual drive is coupled to the connecting spindle by a slip coupling (10). This precision working is suitable for opening and closing of closing valves in, e.g. hydrogenation plant for supplying hydrogen or in laboratories.
