The guide device has a workpiece stop section for performing milling operations by means of a drive machine on the guide column of a frame. A holder (14) is fixed on the guide column (4). Adjustably arranged on this holder are the workpiece stop section (11) and a bearing section (12). This provides additional support of the milling shaft at the level of the projecting end mill.
