Omega-oxazolinyl alkanoic acid derivs. - useful as thrombocyte aggregation inhibitors, e.g. for treating thrombosis, arteriosclerosis and inflammation

Oxazoline derivs. of formula (I), their salts and esters, are new (where n is 1-11; R1 and R2 are H, thienyl or opt. substd. phenyl; R3 is H, alkali ion, opt. branched 1-6C hydrocarbyl or aralkyl). They are prepd. e.g. by reacting an N-H analogue with an alkali and then with a haloalkanoate. (I) are thrombocyte aggregation inhibitors so are useful for treating or preventing thrombosis, arteriosclerosis and inflammations, opt. in conjunction with an anticoagulant (esp. heparin, a heparin salt and coumarin deriv.). They are well tolerated by the stomach and have oral LD50 (mouse) at least 2g per kg.
