Bonding press with cooling station - including cooling plate below and adjustable thrust plate above top strand of belt conveyor

A bonding press for a continuous treatment of two or more layers of workpieces of little stiffness, specially textile tissues, when bonding inserts to cover layers using a plastic adhesive, consists of a heating station, followed by a rapid cooling station. A cooling plate below the top strand of the cooling station belt conveyor is faced on top of belt and textile layers by a thrust plate with a thrust adjusting device. The thrust plate lead-in and lead-out edges are curved upward to assist entry and exit of the material, and a lining ensures a low friction. The thrust plate pref. has PTFE lining. Such a continuous press produces goods with an excellent dimensional stability and freedom from wrinkling of the bonded textile articles.
