PURPOSE:An aqueous ink, suitable for a sign pen or fountain pen, having improved water resistance, exhibiting a clear color tone with little blot, and comprising a polyacrylamide derivative having a specific sulfone group in an aqueous solution of a basic dye. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous ink comprising (B) 0.5-5% a polyacrylamide derivative having a sulfone group expressed by the formula (R1 is H, methyl or ethyl; R2 is alkali metal or amine; n is an integer 1,000-4,000), e.g. an alkali metal salt of a condensate obtained by condensing a poly(meth)acrylamide with propane sultone, in (A) 0.5-20wt% (solid content) an aqueous solution of a basic dye, e.g. C.I. Basic yellow 1. Preferably, 50-85% water which is a main solvent and 10-30% a water-soluble organic solvent, e.g. ethylene glycol, as an assistant are used as a solvent. |
