The air pre-heating system is for a steam boiler, and consists of single- or multiple section primary (8,9,10) and secondary (11) heat-exchangers, together with pump (12) circulating a liquid heat-transfer medium, preferably heating oil. The fumes from the boiler yield up heat to the medium in the primary heat exchangers, this heat being then transferred in the secondary ones to the combustion air. One at least of the primary heat exchangers can be mounted after the fume filter and the oil can be circulated by means of a pump and piping. |
