<p>A pneumatically actuated, hand-held nail driver has a cylindrical nail magazine (23) fitted around the front end of the tool housing. The nails (19) are fed into a chute (25) which guides them into recesses in a rotatable sleeve. This sleeve is rotated with a stepwise motion by a pawl and ratchet mechanism actuated by the motion of the piston which drives the nails. Each nail travels almost the complete circumference of the tool housing before it reaches a radial slot adjoining the chute (25). The nail falls down this slot to reach its central driving position.</p> |
