Coke oven exhaust cowl - travelling with coke quenching car includes stack with dust filter

An exhaust cowl for the coke pushing gases released in coke oven batteries runs on a rail parallel to the coke quenching car track which it straddles. A vertical stack in its centre is fitted with a dust collecting tissue filter and is joined to the cowl by streamlined ducts. A bunker at the bottom of the stack can hold the dust collected in a day. This requires little additional appts. and utilises the natural draught of the emitted gases, with a min. of extraneous energy requirements.
