<p>A heating device to maintain the cooling system liquid or engine oil of a motor vehicle at a temperature above freezing to facilitate starting of the vehicle. The device may take the form of a tubular heating element (17) fitted into the lower radiator hose (14, 14a) between the radiator (12) and the engine.
