Precise alignment of blocks in erection of screening masonry is facilitated by use of a space retainer. This is monolithic unit (1), with two mounting faces (2,3) in a common plane, and correct width stops (4,5) in parallel planes perpendicular to this. In two further planes perpendicular to all these, running parallel for adjacent blocks, there are correct depth stops (6-9) for two adjacent blocks in each case and for the inner masonry being screened. The spacer is pref. in the form of a box-type hollow unit (2), with walling pieces (12,15) of approx. the same thickness. This is simple, economical and stable, and can be used in large numbers as a lost auxiliary component.
|
