PURPOSE:The titled composition, capable of giving a film having improved water resistance etc. in gravure printing, with improved printability, e.g. storage stability, dispersibility and film forming properties, and prepared by dispersing a phenolic compound and a leuco dye in a vehicle consisting of a specific solvent and a resin. CONSTITUTION:A composition prepared by dispersing (A) a phenolic compound, e.g. phenol, and (B) a leuco dye which will develop a color on reaction with the component (A) under heating, e.g. crystal violet lactone, in (C) a vehicle obtained by dissolving (b) a vinyltoluene copolymer resin having a softening point of preferably 130-165 deg.C or a rosin ester resin having a softening point of preferably 130-190 deg.C in (a) a naphthenic hydrocarbon solvent, preferably (ethyl)cyclohexane, having a boiling point of 50-150 deg.C, preferably 80-140 deg.C. |
