Guideways for a roller shutter are fitted along the vertical edges of a cutout for a window, with a shutter case above it, and surrounded by frame pieces, in a prefabricated element for a wall. The frame units comprise one or more profile rails (16), at least partially enclosing the cutout edges (7,8). The vertical rails, or rail sections (15), contain grooves serving as guideways for the shutter. The rail pref. comprises two vertical sections, with guide grooves, and at least one horizontal section overlapping a horizontal cutout edge (8).
