PURPOSE:To skip all-white blocks accurately by arranging in front of a block a block code signal that indicates whether each block is composed of all-white bits or includes a black bit, and by further providing a signal indicating the position of the block code signal, by dividing one line into blocks. CONSTITUTION:Between one picture signal and the following picture signal, blanking time BT is set and while block code signal BCD that indicates whether each divided block is composed of all-white bits or includes a black bit is arranged after the blanking time, scanning signals G1, G2, G5, and G7 of blocks including the black bits are provided further after it. At a picture signal part other than the head, BCD and block scanning signals are mixed, so the block code address indicating the position of BCD in the picture signal is included in a synchronizing signal. Consequently, even if an error happens to the judgement of BCD due to a noise, etc., the following BCD are made clear, so that the bad influence of the error can be eliminated. |
