<p>Lightweight container wall of simple construction has not only high mechanical strength but is impermeable to a high degree to pressurise gas or liquid, and is manufactured by winding glass fibre reinforced woven fabric strip, which is impregnated with synthetic resin, onto a rotating winding core. The strip is wound in overlapping fashion, and during the winding process a properly positioned heat source may bring the strip material into a molten condition; cavities between the overlap, may be filled with synthetic resin.</p> |
