The liquid reservoir tank of plant spraying equipment of the haversack type is pressurised by a pair of foot pumps (10) worn by the operator under his shoes (14). Co-operating formations (28 and 29) are provided within the chamber formed by the resiliently deformable air pump body (13) of each foot pump (10) which has concertina sidewalls (23) so that the enclosure surrounded by the sidewalls (23) is substantially filled by the formations (28 and 29) when it is collapsed.
