<p>The key selecting switch is intended for a telephone apparatus for intercommunication which comprises, for each network (1) or private (2) key, an intermediate rotating part (426) driven by the edge (16) of the key (1) and controlling the connections and disconnections of pairs of flexible contact strips (424), temporally distributed during the travel of the key. For a network key (1) the rotating part is a drop (426) engaging with one of the strips of each pair (424) and which can swivel via the sliding or rolling of an appendage (4263) over a profiled section (161, 162) of the key. For a private key, the rotating part is a shaft comprising cams braced by the ends of the strips and a cogwheel engaging with a toothed rack integral with one face of the key. The rotating parts and the strips associated with a network key and with two private keys form an interchangeable unit (40, 41, 42).
