In a method of continuous cladding of an element of indefinite length with a cladding material, a flat strop 4 of flexible material is moved into a cylindrical passage defined between opposed movable shaping elements 2, 3, so as to form a hollow cylindrical sheath of the flexible material. The elongated element to be clad is moved centrally and longitudinally in the sheath so as to define a space between the element and the sheath. The cladding material is then introduced at 5 into that space, upstream of the movable shaping elements, and is allowed to set. Preferably the opposed movable shaping elements and the flat strip material each move in respective closed loop paths, and advantageously all at the same speed. <IMAGE> |
