Skein carrier for unwinding a skein of yarn, comprising two arms (1, 2) arranged on a support (3) and which are intended to take a skein of yarn, one of the two arms (1, 2) being capable of being moved along the support (3) by means of a slide (11), the support (3) of the two arms (1, 2) being swivel mounted on a chassis (5) in such a way that they can take up two positions, a vertical position for fitting the skein onto the arms (1, 2) and a position for unwinding the skein, the slide (11) of the mobile arm (2) also being capable of being moved along a swivelling rod (7), the said swivelling rod carrying a stop (8) which works in conjunction with the said slider (11) or an element which is integral with it in order to maintain the space between the moving arm (2) and the fixed arm (1) while the support (3) is moved from the vertical position for fitting the skein to the position for unwinding the skein, characterized by the fact that the swivelling rod (7) consists of a coupling rod linked to a lever (20) which is itself swivel mounted on the support (3) and that a means (22) for swivelling the lever (20) is provided.</p> |
