Variable displacement pump, comprising at least one fixed displacement motor (1) supplied by a fluid system including at least one pump (2), the latter being driven by a power generator (3), and comprising hydraulic means (5) for linear variation of the torque and speed of the motor connected to the pump (2) by a secondary mechanism equipped with a secondary clutch (8), wherein the hydraulic means for linear variation of the torque and speed of the motor are connected to the fixed displacement motor (1) by a primary mechanism (9) comprising primary clutching devices (10), the primary and secondary clutching devices permitting respective disconnection of the pump (2) or fixed displacement motor (1) from the hydraulic torque and speed variation means (5).
