PURPOSE:To enable detection with good accuracy, by analyzing the frequency within a given range among the signals produced at cutting work and comparing it with the preset reference. CONSTITUTION:When the ratio Fc/(Fc)0, between the frequency Fc showing the value of maximum output present between 0.1-10kHz among the oscillation signal produced from tool or machine tool under cutting work, and the initial frequency (Fc)0 at cutting work, removes from 1, the performance of chip disposal is worse, and if this rate is <=1/2 or >=2, it is not preferable from the standpoint of safety of work, damage to tool, or quality of work. Accordingly, the detector 1 is fitted to the cutting tool or machine tool, and after the output is amplified 2, and the frequency of the maximum output between 0.1-10kHz is analyzed at the frequency analyzer 3 and it is fed to the comparator 4. The value is compared with the preset reference (Fc)0 and if this rate is <=1/2 or >=2, alarm is made by the alarm unit 5. |
